v2025_final
Ruins & Rogues » Devlog

Major changes:
- Layout on the lists is more readable with some indenting.
- Enemies now deal static damage instead of rolling dice to attack. This makes them feel more consistent.
- Scars are now a thing. I'm pretty happy with character death being based on table vibes rather than strict rules.
- Spellcasting is slightly tweaked to give spellcasters a more "quadratic" feeling of progression.
- There's now a retirement system so that collecting all the gold pieces in standard OSR modules does something.
- Attack tags have made designing enemy statblocks just slightly more complex but a lot more fun.
- Variant rules are now relegated to the online SRD.
Thanks to everyone who's played and supported the game thusfar. Unless I notice an annoying typo or something, this is the final version of this edition of Ruins & Rogues and I intend to keep it that way. If there's ever another version, it will be in a completely different format.
