Sword&, Issue #1: Legends

Back in July (it's been that long?!) someone over on the NSR Cauldron jokingly suggested that "Sword&" would be a good name for a community zine and, suddenly, everyone was excited about making a zine.

We got over a dozen submissions for the chosen theme (Legends) and I narrowed them down by half to keep things manageable (otherwise it might have taken a full year to finish this!).

Our first issue contains one short dungeon, one short bestiary, two legend generators (one sci-fi and one fantasy), and two lists of weird items (again, one sci-fi and one fantasy).

1. Cyberpunk Bar by Window Dump: "Remember, the only way to get a drink named after you at a cyberpunk merc bar is to die in some spectacular fashion, preferrably mid-op."
2. Three Daimons of the Gloaming Realm by Dante Nardo: Half bestiary, half folk-horror short-story collection.
3. Legend of the Unicorn by Willem-Jan: A one-page dungeon with strong information design.
4. Legendary Ordnance by SullyTames: "a short list of weird guns and shooty-things sourced from all across the multiverse."
5. How to Remix a Legend for OSR/NSR Play by Laumry: A procedure for remixing real-world legends into adventure scenarios.
6. 1d6 Legendary Items Leonard Schellauf (TofuRevolution): Presented as a fun illustration!
